@tomato_ate_it tried Nando’s newly launched PERi-BBQ menu at 1U 🍗 The BBQ sauce surprised me! Smoky, savoury and slightly saltier than usual BBQ sauces, which I personally prefer. All you have to do is order your go-to chicken meal, choose your fave PERi-PERi heat level (mild, hot, etc), then add-on PERi-BBQ🍗 for just RM1.50! 💵 I personally feel like this would be my next order! I MADE NANDO'S PERI PERI CHICKEN FOR MY FAMILY 😋 Peri Peri sauce was introduced to Africa by the portuguese. It is a spicy sauce with African bird's eye 🌶️ chilies as its base. It also needs a little bit of brown sugar for sweetness and some freshly squeezed lemon to lighten the sauce. I made my own version with some ingredients I had at home and it turned out great. Will be making it again using roasted bell peppers and roasted onions with the birds eye chilies instead of the habanero I used.
