Just sharing another strange symptom. This is called Wartenberg’s Sign which refers to the slightly greater abduction of the fifth digit, due to weakness or paralysis of the adducting palmar interosseous muscle and unopposed action of the radial innervated extensor muscles (digiti minimi, digitorum communis ). I copied that! 😂 It’s possible to have this from ulnar nerve injury of many kinds so it’s not a specific sign of ALS. It accompanies split hand syndrome with ALS which I’m not sure I have
