New students at Harvard Chan School were welcomed by deans, faculty, staff, and returning students at Fall Orientation last week. The three-day event brought together 449 new students from 66 countries and territories to connect and learn how to make the most of their experience at the School. | Harvard T.H. After a complex medical crisis, Daphne Edgren, MPH-GEN ’27, became interested in public health. She was drawn to Harvard Chan School’s fully online MPH Generalist (MPH-GEN) program because of its focus on leadership. She hopes to improve the experiences of patients who participate in oncology research by reshaping the way that scientists work with them. “When you're diagnosed with cancer and you're having to go to research as a last resort, clearly things are not going very well,” Edgren says. “
