Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is a technique by which embryos can be tested for genetic abnormalities. The technique requires IVF (collecting eggs and sperms and fertilizing them in the laboratory) followed by growth of the embryos till day 5/6 and then some cells of the embryos are biopsied and sent to the genetic laboratory.
