There’s not much left of the former Macy’s at Virginia Center Commons. Crews are demolishing the building to make room for Henrico County’s new indoor sports facility and convocation center. The Henrico County Recreation & Parks facility will feature more than 115,000 square feet of adaptable event space with room for up to 12 regulation NCAA basketball courts or 24 volleyball courts and a 4,500-seat arena with stadium seating.
