Crys has the PALB2 gene mutation, which is responsible for many cancers, namely breast cancer (both male & female) and ovarian cancer (with links to uterine). I’m headed in for my pre-op for a full hysterectomy. That laparoscopic surgery is next week, June 24th. Today I’m getting blood work and an EKG. As I walked toward the main entrance, I was struck by the last time I walked in/out of these doors. (Actually back on 2004, the entrance was in a different place when I left with baby Finnley in my arms. ) But now, at 59 1/2, it’s the season of change for me.
