John Wilson sat through a workshop on how to write and sell a Hallmark movie, then ran the same formula at a documentary. 'The History of Concrete' is his feature directorial debut after HBO's 'How To with John Wilson', and Magnolia Pictures opens it in US theaters on September 18. It premiered at Sundance on January 22 and holds 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Hollywood Reporter calls Wilson the Werner Herzog of the mundane. The Guardian calls the film an absurd triumph.
