Let’s bring back letters like this 🤍 . This is called the Brienne Diamond Letter. It is one design of how people folded their letters into intricate patterns for privacy during the Renaissance and beyond. This practice was called letter locking. Because paper was expensive, people didn’t use envelopes. Instead, they had a variety of interesting ways to fold their missives. The origins of this design can be traced back to the 1600s.
