Pope Francis' coffin sealed in private ceremony

This was how the private ritual for the closing of Pope Francis' coffin took place. The casket was closed on the evening of April 25. Archbishop Diego Giovanni Ravelli placed a white silk veil over the late Pope's face. Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the camerlengo, presided over the rite of the closing and sealing of the coffin, which was attended by cardinals of the Roman Curia, the Pope’s secretaries, and several of his relatives.
