Extension talks had hit a snag, and Titans general manager Jon Robinson ultimately did something he never planned on doing: trade his No. 1 wide receiver away.

Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown said on the Pardon My Take podcast on Aug. 6 that he felt sorry for Treylon Burks following Burks' release early in camp.

The Titans announced Monday that wide receiver Treylon Burks, whom the team selected No. 18 overall after acquiring the pick as part of the Brown trade, has been waived. Burks was waived with an injury designation after hurting his collarbone during practice on Saturday, and if he clears waivers, he’ll wind up back on Tennessee’s injured reserve.
