Jermaiah Yusuf Sawaqed, 25, is charged with vandalism and destruction of property, vandalizing a war or veterans memorial, and possession, transportation, or use of a hoax device or substance. He was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Monday and held on $30,000 bail.

"That kind of conduct is disgusting. It’s unacceptable. I’m glad that law enforcement was able to get him," Gov. Maura Healey said Tuesday.
