A poll by the Avangarde sociological institute, Dan, the liberal mayor of Bucharest, is ahead of his rival, nationalist, pro-Russian radical and leader of the far-right AUR George Simion party, by nearly 10%, reports the BBC. Simion is on 45.1 percent, while Dan is on 54.9 percent.
