The New York Yankees will be looking in-house in the immediate aftermath of a gruesome injury to their everyday third baseman.

NJ.com's Brendan Kuty wrote that Diaz would be the most sensible trade candidate for the Yankees if LeMahieu once again struggles. Diaz is only being paid $12 million as part of a team option, so it wouldn't be detrimental to the Yankees' thinning cap space.

The third baseman was taken off the field in an ambulance after changing direction while scoring a run during Monday night’s game.
