Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen has turned in consecutive solid starts since the Diamondbacks opted to hold him at the trade deadline.

The Diamondbacks have placed right-hander Anthony DeSclafani on the 15-day injured list because of right thumb inflammation after he made three starts.
