Now that David Corenswet's Superman is flying high at the box office and Milly Alcock's Supergirl is hitting cinemas next year, DC fans are already thinking about the next major superheroes that are set to join the franchise. Of course, we're talking about Batman and Wonder Woman, who are yet to be cast in the new DCU.

James Gunn is feeling “incredibly grateful” for the initial box office success of Superman and the positive reception from audiences. The filmmaker and co-head of DC Studios took to Threads on Sunday to express his appreciation after the superhero blockbuster saw an estimated global debut of $217 million .
Other follow-ups are also possible. Outside of a basic Superman sequel, there could be a Justice League movie, another team-up with Aaron Pierre's Green Lantern, or Superman turning up in future projects, but not as the main focus. The Justice Gang featuring Superman, anyone?
