A federal judge has largely blocked sweeping executive orders from President Donald Trump that sought to end government support for programs promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

The plaintiffs argued that the president’s edicts against diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives exceeded his authority and violate their constitutional right to due process.

On Friday, a federal judge in Baltimore granted a preliminary injunction on parts of President Trump's executive orders dealing with diversity, equity and inclusion.
