A La Quinta man was arrested on suspicion of making an online threat to shoot people at a Palm Springs “No Kings” rally. Edward Miranda, 28, was booked into the Benoit Detention Center in Indio on Saturday on suspicion of making criminal threats and violating civil rights, police said. The LAPD said there were 35 arrests for allegedly violating the curfew order overnight. In all, the department said there have been 561 arrests related to protest activity since last Saturday.
