Four fires burning more than 20,000 acres on Colorado’s Western Slope are still mostly uncontained, and a 14,000-acre fire that started in Utah is now firmly in Colorado as of Wednesday.
Evacuations ordered in Montrose County, CO, due to the South Rim Fire, which has grown to 2,892 acres with 0% containment.
We are continuing to track the fires all across western Colorado, with the South Rim Fire within the Black Canyon of the Gunnison seeing over 1,600 acres burned as of midnight this morning.
