Monday, Mike Welsh announced his candidacy for Lehigh County Executive. Welsh is a Lehigh County resident, a business owner, and is a former Allentown School Board Director.

Mike Hein, who also served as Tucson city manager for four years, told county leaders on March 2 he plans to resign at the end of April, a county news release from Tuesday said.
