If a single Arizona lottery player wins, it would make for the largest jackpot ever won in the state. The current largest prize ever won in Arizona was $473.1 million in 2022, when a Gilbert couple drew the winning numbers. In 2012, a man from Phoenix won a $587.5 million lottery jackpot, but he had to split it with another winner in Missouri.

As of Thursday, the Powerball jackpot sits at an estimated $482 million with a cash value of $218.9 million. Without a massive growth spurt before the next drawing, the current jackpot ranks as the second-largest of 2025. In March, a $515 million prize was won by a ticket sold in California.
