NFL trade deadline looms Nov 4; Jerry Jones skeptical on adding defender amid Cowboys' poor stats and shootout losses.
Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones provided an update on cornerback Trevon Diggs' future with the team after being placed on injured reserve.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones strongly denied that the team rushed Trevon Diggs back from injury. The cornerback suffered a head injury at home that kept him sidelined during the Week 7 duel against the Washington Commanders and Sunday’s duel against the Denver Broncos.
Jerry Jones also addressed Trevon Diggs' latest knee injury and if the team rushed him back too soon. "No. Not at all," he said.
So far this season, the Cowboys rank 31st in the NFL in yards allowed, giving up 404.6 yards per game. They also rank second to last in the NFL in passing yards allowed at 258.6 per game, and 29th out of 32 teams against the run, surrendering 146 yards per game.
Jones confirmed Tuesday that Diggs’ current injury is not to the knee which was surgically reconstructed over the offseason.
