WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — The battle over wind turbines along the Palouse has taken a turn as developers hope to blow past Whitman County leaders and move forward with the Harvest Hills Wind Project.
Cowlitz PUD commissioners decided Tuesday to move forward with the Harvest Wind power project, which will generate enough renewable power for the utility to meet a key state mandate triggered in 2016.
