Toby Keith's dream is coming true at the Kentucky Derby. The country legend's Dream Walkin' Farms has a horse that's racing on Saturday. Keith died in February 2024 after battling stomach cancer.

It was a huge dream of Keith's to have a horse racing in the Kentucky Derby, posting a statement to social media back when the race lineup was announced. "It was Toby’s dream….Render Judgement [sic] is going to the Kentucky Derby. He worked so hard to finally have one there! Toby will have the best seat in the house to watch."

Fifteen months after his death, Keith finally got there. Keith’s Dream Walkin’ Farms co-owns Render Judgment, who will run out of the No. 15 post Saturday, May 3, in the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby. The bay colt, trained by Kenny McPeek and ridden by Julien Leparoux, has 12-1 odds to win the annual Run for the Roses.
