The school district has canceled classes at its only campus through the end of the week because of damage from Sunday's storm and tornado.

London, Ky. — More tornadoes plowed through the central U.S. on Monday, ripping apart buildings and knocking out power as people from Texas to Kentucky continued to clean up from days of severe weather that killed more than two dozen people and destroyed thousands of homes and buildings.

The highest chances of severe weather will be in North Texas, but chances will stretch into the Texas Hill Country as well.

Texas is a national leader in renewables, a fact Judd Messer, vice president of policy at Advanced Power Alliance, said is possible due to the state’s landowners.

At least 31 million people are at risk for severe storms from central Texas to Iowa on Monday, with hazards including large hail, damaging winds and several possibly strong tornadoes.

Severe storms are expected to erupt across a wide swath of Texas late Monday — from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to East Texas.
