An American Bully dog named Roc swiped from a homeless man sleeping on a Bronx subway train was reunited with his owner Thursday after someone dropped the purloined pooch off at an NYPD stationhouse in the borough,

Authorities are looking for a callous straphanger who stole the pooch of another rider while he was sleeping on a subway in the Bronx, according to police. The 45-year-old victim was snoozing on a D train near Bainbridge Avenue and East 206th Street around 6 a.

The dog was reunited with his owner on Thursday, police confirmed to PEOPLE following initial publication of this story. The dog was dropped off anonymously in front of a precinct house in the Bronx, the Daily News reported. The suspect remains on the loose.
