Netflix limited series “Sirens” centers on the complex dynamic between three women — Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore — that unfolds over the course of a hectic weekend.

Smith Metzler did confirm that Cloe (Jenn Lyon), Lisa (Erin Neufer), and Astrid (Emily Borromeo) are meant to represent the Fates and that “Peter has a Zeus-like quality or a Hades-like, depending on how you look at it.”

Julianne Moore, who stars as Michaela in the series, tells TODAY.com the series started as a look at the Greek myth of sirens — winged creatures, half-birds and half-women, with songlike voices capable of luring sailors at sea to their demise.
