The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays are set to begin a short two-game series tonight at George M. Steinbrenner Field in the Yankees’ spring training complex in Tampa, which the Rays are calling home for 2025. After the dust settled on the MLB Trade Deadline action, the Tampa Bay Rays are getting a decent grade for their efforts.

MLB’s divisions haven’t changed since the Astros moved from the NL Central to the AL West in 2013. Jim Bowden of The Athletic created new divisions based off the news. It included a “North Division” made up of the Tigers, Blue Jays, Guardians and Reds.

There have been only four times in MLB history in which a team has hit at least nine homers in a game. The 2025 Yankees have half of them.
