Fans of the IndyCar races at Iowa Speedway are worried about its future after a smaller crowd attended the event this year.
Pato O'Ward held off Josef Newgarden at the Iowa Speedway on July 12 to win his first IndyCar race of the season. O'Ward won the Synk 275 powered by Sukup with an average time of 1:46:00.6760. Newgarden, who was on pole, was second at 1:46:00.9112. Will Power finished third at 1:46:01.8888.
Pato O'Ward's win at Iowa Speedway was the closest IndyCar finish at Iowa Speedway since 2007 under green flag conditions.
