Joe Root has followed his latest century with a record-setting catch and Jofra Archer has made a wicket-taking return as England enjoyed the better of Day 2 of the third test against India at Lord’s.

Jasprit Bumrah stole the show on Day 2 at Lord’s with a brilliant five-wicket haul, helping India bowl England out for 387. Joe Root led the hosts with his 37th Test century, while Jamie Smith (51) and Brydon Carse (56) frustrated India with a late stand.
