Bruce the bat dog, the furry, tail-wagging mascot of the Rochester Red Wings, is set to make his on-field debut next month.

Bruce spent three games honing his bat retrieval skills with the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings. He posted a “1.000 retrieving average,” the Nationals said in a release.
