On June 9, it was announced that London-based financial services giant Barclays PLC (NYSE:BCS) plans to introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot to 100,000 employees as AI takes center stage at enterprises.

Copilot has stalled at 20 million weekly users for the past year despite contracts with Volkswagen, Accenture and Barclays worth tens of millions and covering more than 100,000 licences each.

Copilot is Microsoft's branding for various AI-powered tools embedded across its ecosystem, including in Windows, Edge, Bing, Microsoft 365 (all the Office apps), Teams, GitHub and security tools.

He highlighted customer success stories, including Barclays deploying Copilot to 100,000 employees and Dow identifying millions in potential savings.
