A tech company whose boss was filmed hugging a colleague at a Coldplay concert has said a purported statement from him expressing remorse is fake.

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron—who hid from the jumbotron after he was seen in a close embrace with a woman at a Coldplay concert—has been put on leave at the tech company following the viral video.

Astronomer confirmed that its Board of Directors had launched an internal investigation into the ‘kiss cam’ matter.
