Weeks after his country was battered by waves of Israeli strikes and the US bombed three of its prized nuclear facilities, Iran’s foreign minister came to a gathering of regional diplomats in China this week with a simple ask.

One of the silver linings to emerge from the turbulence of recent weeks is seeing just how many people recognize the importance of camp — and are willing to help it in times of need.

Israel and Iran traded tit-for-tat attacks for 12 days in June until a US-announced ceasefire halted the fighting, but a video of a panicked crowd is unrelated to the conflict. Social media posts falsely claimed the clip showed Israelis fleeing an Iranian strike but it in fact circulated in April in reports that said the commotion was caused by a "mistaken terror attack".
