You can all breathe a big sigh of relief because days will be sunnier and warmer in the upcoming week. The National Weather Service in Cleveland is forecasting no snow until at least Thursday night when there’s a chance of snow showers.

The city of Cleveland has extended its warming center hours due to the cold weather, and will now keep four recreation centers open as warming centers through Friday. The National Weather Service has also issued a hazardous weather outlook for Thursday.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Snow showers are expected to develop Thursday morning and bring 1-2 inches of new snow to much of the area. According to the National Weather Service’s forecast for tomorrow, highs will make it into the low 20s with breezy conditions throughout the day.

A slight chance for showers during the day increases Tuesday night with winds also increasing. Lows will drop into the upper 40s with rain likely after 10 p.m. and strong wind gusts of close to 40 mph possible around midnight.

Northern Ohio is set to experience a significant windstorm midweek, following a brief calm period, according to NWS Cleveland.
