Boeing (NYSE:BA) engineers late Tuesday confirmed that the ninth and tenth O3b mPOWER satellites, built for global satellite operator SES, were successfully launched aboard a SpaceX (SPACE) Falcon 9 rocket and are now transmitting signals from orbit.

SES expanded its 03B mPower MEO satellite constellation to ten with the launch of two more birds, highlighting more are in the pipeline.

SES expects to complete its acquisition of rival satellite operator Intelsat July 17 after clearing all regulatory hurdles in the way of the multi-billion-dollar deal.
