Starlink appears to have largely recovered from a widespread outage on Thursday afternoon that affected its services across the United States and other parts of the world. Reports of service disruptions flooded outage tracker Down Detector earlier in the afternoon, with users experiencing internet outages and, in some cases, total blackouts.
A network outage affecting thousands of EE and BT customers has been resolved, a spokesperson has said. Customers reported they were unable to make or receive calls as the mobile phone and landline networks faced an outage. Some customers reported issues with making 999 calls, but the government said these had "now been restored".

Alaska Airlines and its regional subsidiary, Horizon Air, requested a ground stop to all flights Sunday night because of a computer system outage. The request to federal authorities kept Alaska and Horizon flights out of the air until the Federal Aviation Administration said the stop was lifted after 2 a.m. ET. Monday.
