Texas Rangers designated hitter/outfielder Joc Pederson suffered a right hand fracture after being hit by a pitch in the fourth inning of his team's 10-5 road loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday,

The Texas Rangers called up top outfield prospect Alejandro Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock to make his major league debut on Sunday afternoon against the host Chicago White Sox. Also Sunday, the Rangers placed designated hitter/first baseman Joc Pederson on the 10-day injured list and designated outfielder Kevin Pillar for assignment.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Sunday morning that the club doesn’t “have any real plan right now” at the designated hitter position.
