The face shields, which guard against irritants and debris, were handed out to demonstrators protesting the Trump administration’s immigration raids.
Since early June, protesters in Los Angeles have been making noise outside hotels ICE agents are staying at in a "no sleep for ICE" campaign.
The confrontation between the two groups comes as assaults against ICE agents soared up to 700% higher than last year, according to ICE.
