The English Football Association (FA) said it is looking into the treatment of England supporters at their 3-0 UEFA Nations League win over Greece on Thursday. According to British media reports, Greek police allegedly used tear gas and riot shields to control supporters attempting to get into the Olympic Stadium in Athens.

Local police in Athens are said to have used riot shields and tear gas to control England fans before the Nations League fixture with Greece.

The FA are investigating reports England fans were tear gassed as they tried to enter the Olympic Stadium in Athens for the Nations League match against Greece. Some supporters who travelled to the Greek capital for Wednesday night’s game have accused Greek riot police of violent treatment as fans attempted to enter the stadium.
