Trump followed up with a separate post Sunday afternoon, saying “if they don’t change the name back to the original ‘Washington Redskins,’ and get rid of the ridiculous moniker, ‘Washington Commanders,’ I won’t make a deal for them to build a Stadium in Washington,” claiming his original statement had “totally blown up.”

Trump twice on Sunday rallied on Truth Social against the Commanders and Cleveland Guardians for changing their names but threatened in his second post later in the day to block
