Attorneys general sued the Trump administration to block a NIH decision that would slash grant payments for research overhead

Massachusetts joined the multi-state lawsuit earlier Monday to block a Trump administration effort to dramatically cut funding to health researchers at universities and other institutions across the country.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) slammed the National Institutes of Health’s decision to slash billions of dollars in “indirect” costs for biomedical research funding, calling the move mandated by the Trump administration “devastating” and a “poorly conceived directive.”
