About 95% of those ballots were cast in person across 88 early voting centers, and more than 57,000 mail ballots were received during the early voting period.

Harris County reports a record early voter turnout with 1.7 million votes cast, as election preparations continue smoothly.

This year's early voting broke a record in Harris County for the number of in-person votes cast during the first week of early voting, beating the previous 2020 record by 58,161 votes.

The county clerk says that number is about the same as the presidential election in 2016 and 2020. Although 2020's numbers may be weird because of the pandemic, on this last day of early voting, some lines are long while others are looking pretty good.
