A 45-year-old Chicago man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly firing shots at police officers during a barricade situation Sunday in the city's South Shore neighborhood.

On Wednesday, Albuquerque police identified Kirby as the man who allegedly threatened officers with a gun, causing a five-hour-long SWAT situation near I-40 and Eubank Tuesday.
