A man accused of fatally strangling a Marion County deputy in 2023 has been found guilty in the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Krystal Walton. Orlando Mitchell, 35, was found guilty of murder and invasion of privacy.

Testimony has concluded in the first of two murder trials against Orlando Mitchell. The suspect is accused of killing the mother of his child outside a daycare followed by the murder of a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy while in custody.
