Financier Ross Stevens, the founder of Stone Ridge Holdings Group, has pledged a $100 million windfall for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes. The donation to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee will see every athlete who represents the U.S. at the Games receive $200,000 later on in their lives.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Northern Italy, primarily in Milan and also the Alpine mountain resort town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, where events like bobsled, skeleton, alpine skiing, curling, para snowboard, and more will take place.
