Apple Maps and Bing Maps are both joining Google by changing their Maps software and apps to now display Gulf of America on the body of water that's been known as the Gulf of Mexico since the 16th century.

Google was the first to adopt the change from "Gulf of Mexico" after an executive order from the president instructed U.S. mapmakers to change the name.

Without comment from Microsoft, I'm not sure if Bing Maps showing "Gulf of Mexico" exclusively is a political statement or a reflection of how frequently the service's information gets updated. I have reached out to Microsoft about the Gulf of Mexico name debate and how Bing Maps is updated.
