A federal judge overseeing Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s criminal case in Tennessee has ordered DHS and DOJ officials to refrain from making prejudicial statements about him.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche warned top California officials that interfering with federal immigration enforcement would be "illegal and futile."

"Government employees have made extrajudicial statements that are troubling, especially where many of them are exaggerated if not simply inaccurate," the judge wrote.
