The Teign estuary froze up on Tuesday morning as the so-called Beast from the East stuck its claws into Devon. Our photographer Andy Styles captured the wintry scene in the sunshine on the estuary.

Raw sewage was pumped into a Devon river for more than 3,500 hours in a single year, a local MP has claimed. That means there was sewage flowing into the water for 40 per cent of the entire year.
