WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An inmate at the D.C. jail was sentenced to 3 1/2 years on Monday after stabbing another inmate in October 2024, according to a release from the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office.

A DC correctional officer remains in the hospital Monday afternoon, after allegedly being stabbed by an inmate. The officer, whose identity has not been revealed, was reportedly assaulted on Sunday.
