LONDON — Rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel prepared Friday for his first NFL start against the Vikings at Gabriel’s Football Pitch, the actual longstanding name of the field at The Grove, where the Browns stayed and practiced.

While speaking with reporters on Friday, Dillon Gabriel addressed how he has dealt with the comments people have made about him over the past five months.

Dillon Gabriel has tried to block out the negativity around him in various forms throughout his journey to become the Browns starting quarterback.

Hard work has once again paid off for Luke Floriea in his pursuit of an NFL career. The Browns on Sept. 23 signed the Mentor graduate to their practice squad. Defensive end K.J. Henry was released to create a spot for Floriea on the 16-man unit.

The Browns signed Corley from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday. Corley and Gage Larvadain were both signed to the active roster to give the Browns much-needed depth at wide receiver after Cedric Tillman (hamstring) and DeAndre Carter (knee) were both placed on injured reserve.

The Browns are staying with Andre Szmyt as their kicker even after a disappointing opener against the Bengals that included two missed kicks.
